Private Tutor to the Duke’s Daughter. 1-12 - Binged this over the last few weeks. The first novel was interesting enough, but I almost dropped it a few volumes in when it started to seem like the author was abandoning the plot to focus on annoying loliharem antics. Thankfully the opposite happened. The next major arc, spanned multiple volumes and pushed the harem bits into brief moments of comic relief as the real plot took center stage. Lots of big satisfying moments, world building, fun new characters, etc. a far cry from the monster of the day, school life, harem it looked like it was becoming.
The arc after was thanfully less long and less intense, but still plot focused and helped develop and improve the main relationship in the series.
Maybe I should pick it up again. I dropped it exactly when I thought it would be "annoying loliharem antics”. I think I managed to read two volumes.
Ascendance of a Bookworm Part 5 Avatar of a Goddess Volume 11 - The story is obviously winding slowly down and after the rollercoaster of the last couple of volumes this one feels more like one of the Part 3 volumes. Sure, there is still peril looming (in a way even more than ever) but I’m not biting my fingernails. I don’t mean that in a bad way. It’s good that there is a wind-down. The series deserves it. But the feeling of having to say goodbye soon also feels more real now than it was during all the action.
I Became the Strongest and Annihilated Everything With Low-Level Spells Vol. 4 - 9 - Just checking in. Honestly, I’m just skimming the non-mc chapters since the classmates/villains get somehow even more unhinged.
Ascendance Of A Bookworm - Part 5 Volume 11
Just finished the latest Bookworm. You can tell it’s winding down but it still feels like there is so much to be done. Still a great volume but it wasn’t as interesting as others have been (probably because it’s slowing down for the end). I am going to miss it once’s it’s complete.
Didn’t I say to make my abilities Average - Volume 1
Decided to reread a bit of Average Abilities since I couldn’t decide which book to pick up next.
