I´m new to the VR world. One thing I enjoy doing with my Pico is to use Wander and just enjoy foreign countries through the google streetview.
I was wondering though if there are ways to get to experience real places, but in 3D. I´m aware that it is unrealistic to expect such a thing at street view scale. But maybe it exists for single places?

Yeah, being on the street level is a little funky, as the 3D models are all kinds of warped, but flying over cities or sitting on a tall building and looking around is amazing, especially if you enable correct scaling.
Brink Traveler has incredible 8k scans of real environments. Not sure if on pico but is on quest and steam. Wooorld! is working on updating their app with Google’s new 3d API.
If you have a good enough PC, there are some SteamVR Home World from real places. They were taken using photogrammetry. Iirc there is one taken at a river bank in London and one somewhere in Iceland. There are many more user generated environments in the workshop: https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/browse/?appid=250820&searchtext=&childpublishedfileid=0&browsesort=trend§ion=readytouseitems&requiredtags[]=Destination&created_date_range_filter_start=0&created_date_range_filter_end=0&updated_date_range_filter_start=0&updated_date_range_filter_end=0
