I would love to transplant (pun intended) the r/medicine community over to the Fediverse. So far this seems like the largest community, but I’m curious if there are other medical professionals here, laypersons interested in medical news, or what?
Surgical tech here - iirc a lot of the content on r/medicine was over my head, but it’s familiar territory so that’s what I gravitated to here on the fed (hence the username, lol)
Yep, I just arrived
Yuuup. Hoping to see this grow over the next few days/ weeks
I’m here. I think it will take some time. Also, there are other alternatives so most are just trying to figure out which is the one to invest in
layperson interested in medical news reporting for lurking duties.
Here and will be here. Thanks to all working on making a new space for this community.
Clinical research nurse from r/medicine and r/nursing.
I suspect it would take a more severe collapse of Reddit to force a larger migration. There’s over 400k subscribers, and most of the active members probably have other things to worry about at the moment. If we’re having to deal with all sorts of IT issues at work then most of us don’t really want to have to deal with yet another new system in our downtime.
