I’m fascinated by the e-Ink tablet market and all the different varieties. I’m currently rocking the reMarkable 2 and love it.
It’s a bit on the pricey side. I would buy a case and a stylus not directly from rM due to the price if I had known. But other than that the tablet is amazing!
I have an Onyx Boox Max Lumi. It’s a few years old, and obviously newer models are improved, but I’m pleased with the product. My intention was to splitscreen with PDF textbooks on one side and taking notes on the other. It works great for that. It’s probably larger than most people would want, but it’s perfect for this use case. I can also use it to read digital magazines at a decent size. Smaller tablets would not be as comfortable to read on.
MyDeepGuide is a Youtube channel that reviews different products, the bulk of which are e-ink tablets and accessories. https://www.youtube.com/c/MyDeepGuide/videos I’d certainly recommend going through the channel before anyone decides on their first tablet. I did, and the Max Lumi was exactly what I expected due to detailed reviews.
Yea its’ amazing how deep this category is. Love my RM2
I’m using onyx boox note air2 plus
That’s a mouthful lol 🤭 Do you like it?
I don’t have a tablet but have used e-ink readers for a decade. Just curious what use cases you use your tablet for? I’m in the market for a new reader, but maybe something more robust. I’m using a Kobo Clara HD which hits a lot of sweet spots but it has a lot of quirks. I’m also worried a tablet might be too big for bedtime reading, do you read with yours at all?
I’d aim for One that can do the kindle store. For the price RM2 doesn’t do that. I do like it though.
Supernote A6X right now.
That’s the size I prefer for paper notebooks so I definitely gravitated to the 7" devices and don’t really want to schlep around the larger devices like the RM and Scribe.
I love the write feel of the SN screen. Hard to describe but it’s soft. Coupled with the Lamy stylus it’s wonderful to write on.
