With the opening ceremony today, why not share some sporting plans or how to avoid the deluge of data coming from Paris.

Strange weekend this one. Funeral on Friday. Chiled on sat. Currently sitting in Dalkeith county park topping up my sunburn while my granddaughter runs around like a lunatic.

As a wierdo who has zero interest in anything sports I’m looking for somewhere to hide

It’s impossible to avoid is my takeaway, better lock yourself up for 2 weeks. So: rugby sevens this weekend on the telly, nice one. Watch out for DuPont playing for France - Gold medal written all over that.

Tonight my Dad’s in town, so likely to avoid the ceremony itself by being in a pub. Slanj!

Still ill and watched the whole opening ceremony. I enjoyed it. Very long and I don’t know how good it would be if you were sitting in the pishing rain watching it. However, I’ve shazamed a few tunes from the fashion show/nightclubby bit, loved the laser show at the Eiffel Tower, Lady Gaga was alright, Celine was good, the silver animatronic horse was cool and I love the hot air balloon couldron!!!
