It’s called the cuck chair.
It looks to me like this is some kind of reference and I don’t really get the joke, but everyone would obviously always want the more comfortable sofa.
The train company posting that is kind of just making fun of everyone who had to sit in the little seat at the side.

Depending on the stuffing, I might actually rather take the seat, just because it’s got armrests.

No, it’s team seat all the way for me. If it gets full, seat is the way to go.
If you are used to taking public transportation you may want the seat just because no one can sit near you
