Not American but it seems like a good decision from a strategic point of view. It gains her some potential right wing votes but doesn’t actually require her to enact it in the same way republicans would, no wall or calling for people to be shot on sight.
Painful that they continue to play into Republican rhetoric, but completely unsurprising.
