Pretty far below his value imo

Him potentially going for less than Balogun is wild, but at the same time, his record doesn’t warrant a higher price tag, even if his level of ability says otherwise.

Yeah, but it’s not going up unless an English club comes in for him. I was hoping Leicester would bite, but it doesn’t seem like anyone else is interested.

I agree, but not likely to get the right money from a European sale. And I’m not seeing any English clubs in for him, so what do you do? The lad needs to play and he’s not going to get games at Arsenal.

If that’s all we’re getting why don’t we just keep him? We regularly use him anyway and if ESR is actually gone we might see Havertz at midfield more too which adds even more reason

Because he’s not good enough. He’s a square peg in a round hole. He can go elsewhere and reach at least European class, but for us, he just doesn’t offer enough and we need to move him on to bring in who we really need.

I genuinely disagree that he doesn’t bring enough, especially as a second-third choice. He’s not great but he’s worth the 20m, especially given the dearth of strikers on the market.

Plus it’s Euros, not even pounds. You’re telling me that that’s not worth it when the likes of Jhon Duran go for double?

The market feels that a fit and available Nketiah isn’t worth as much as an ESR recovering from injury. He had 6 goal contributions last season. It’s hard to sell that.

Yeah he tends to go on nice little runs when we have an injury up front too. He could be more clinical, and he absolutely has times where he offers not much, but he’s shown he can step up as a backup. For a position where we don’t even have a clear number 1, we sure can’t ask for a world class number 3.

In saying that, if his sale will help fund a pickup like gyokeres, guirassy, or oh my days osimhen, while they’re unproven in the prem I’d say it’s probably worthwhile.

You can disagree, but it’s not me saying that, it’s Arteta. There’s a reason Havertz got ahead of Nketiah and there’s a reason that we’re not linked with similar strikers. We need someone that is equally comfortable playmaking as they are scoring.
