I think it may be more to do with them being much to expensive for their quality.

McDonald’s forgot their place. They’re cheap shit. They are no longer cheap, so now it’s expensive shit.

Just before COVID, my go to order was less than $4 with tax. A McDouble was $1.29, a McChicken was $0.99 and a small Fries was $0.99. those are now $3.59, $2.59 and $3.39 respectively. Their $1 $2 $3 Vallue Menu has only 4 items, three of them are the ones I listed and none on the list are less than $2.59. a 4 piece McNuggets is $3.99 now. That’s a dollar a nugget. They’ve forgotten their place.

Minimum wage here has not gone up since COVID, so they can’t even claim that it’s because of wage increases, because we know McDonald’s pays almost exclusively minimum wage, and slightly above even for management positions.

Had a McDonald’s burger for the first time in like 6 months the other day. The meat just doesn’t… Taste? Like it just tasted of nothing. Their large fry seems to have reduced by like 120 or so calories for a higher price. Again, seemed to taste of nothing.

Is flavor expensive or are they using depressed beef? Idk. Not going back. I’d rather just cook a burger at home.
