I also don’t know why people don’t change their SSID.

Like, wouldn’t you just think the password could be changed? Then when you search how to do that, realise the network name can be too?

Then you can troll guests like I do…

Edit: The 2.4 is off but I call that Searching…

      Nice

I had my SSID set to the cat emojus but it made my ecobee thermostat shit the bed

The ecobee lite devices are actually pretty good, but nobody has ever implemented any version of IEEE 802.11 correctly, so it’s not surprising that an embedded device chokes on ridiculous Unicode. I’ve seen similar bugs in all sorts of devices.

Many people are simple minded regarding technical stuff. Once they’ve connected one device, they don’t change the credentials since that device is already connected and working. Also, on many wifi routers there is a simple connect or WPS button.

Well, I’d have to write it down, and then I would lose the piece of paper or whatever. I could get another sticker made, but I just don’t have to enter the password enough to justify that.

I do have a custom SSID, though.

Also, is that space being used as we would use a period? Was this an early stage in the development of punctuation?
