That’s absolutely true. The thing is, though, that they don’t WANT a society that works. The worse everything, especially government, functions, the better for them.
To them, the total collapse of civilization is an acceptable consequence of their greed and lust for power.

If only facts and policies actually mattered.
It was very clearly their one overarching necessity during the general insanity of Trump’s admin. Everything else they fought over and frequently failed at, but the trillion to the wealthy was overwhelming, united front, and the first major thing through Congress. Everything else was leftovers and pandering to less important people like their base.
They were tripping over themselves to get it done. There were literally handwritten additions in the margins.
