tldr: he’s against their government-led human rights abuses and their invasion of the south China sea, while understanding the country well enough to recognize that the country is full of complex, cultured people that can be met on common ground rather than as faceless, alien enemies.

    great perspective.

definitely an asset to the Harris white house.

Too bad the nuances are buried deep down, and the article starts off with all the criticism, we all know most people never get past.

1st paragraph starts off with how he speaks Chinese and has traveled there often, 2nd mentions that some people don’t like that, and then quotes waltz saying that the US-China relationship doesn’t need to be adversarial.

        nuance up top, no worries.

but my tldr is for anyone who doesn’t want to read anyway.

Your summary is fine, I just don’t like that the article paints him as pro China in the beginning. And only way down show the strong criticism he has towards China too.

            Thanks.

I think the photo is the glaring problem.

After all, Walz is pro-China as in the language, culture and people, he’s anti-human rights abuses and government authoritarianism.

as a German American political news reads like this:

high ranking idiot says idiot thing.

another high ranking dumbass managed to say something even dumber.

finally, the republican presidential candidate shat himself while starting a sentence that nobidy expected him to finish anyway.

this article is more informative and relevant than most

you’re referring to the other 90% of American political news, and i see why you would give up picking through the trash after a while

Complete bullshit article parroting what the opposition say about Walz, because that way they can’t be accused of libel according to (moronic) laws. The truth is quite the opposite:
    https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cvgewpzyd91o

he chose 4 June - the day Beijing sent the troops in - as the date of their wedding five years later. She said that “he wanted to have a date he’ll always remember”.
