So i installed steam recently on a new pop os install and when I launch steam from the application overview , it launches but disappears within an instant and then keeps trying to launch the steam homepage. There is an app indicator on the top bar so it is running in the background. When I launch from the CLI, it launches normally. Is anybody else facing this issue?

    Yeah I had the same. The new stream update did it. There is a fix… There is a value that needs to be changed in the steam.desktop file to fix it. I have to find it.

      Change line 38 from PrefersNonDefaultGPU=true to PrefersNonDefaultGPU=false

        Do you have any idea as to why using the integrated graphics fixes this. Another device with EndeavourOS does not seem to suffer from this issue and hence my curiosity has been piqued
