    That is most definitely still out of reach for the normal average person. However, that is way down from what it used to be. So that is definitely an improvement. And a massive jump in the number of people who can say they’ve gone to space.

    Those financial models rest on several assumptions. One is that there will be sufficient demand to fly hundreds or thousands of people a year at that price.

    The model also assumes that Virgin Galactic will be able to build and operate the Delta-class vehicles at those projected costs.

    Barring a disaster of some sort, I don’t forsee them having a shortage of customers. I suspect that cost overruns will present a greater challenge. I hope they manage to stay afloat until they can ramp up the launch cadence of the Delta-class vehicles.
