I mean, those of you who used to have 10+ years old accounts that then went and overwrote them using something like Shreddit or Power Delete, how long did it took for it to go through all that?

As it looks now, Reddit hit another rock bottom and started to restore deleted posts. So I do t know if it is even worth doing that when they still control your data. If you live in a country that must comply with GDPR, file a complain and hopefully it will get enough traction to shut down Reddit for good

A 12 years account with about 4 years’ worth of posts took under 10 minutes.

But, it looks like my original posts got restored this morning so I’ll time it this time.

Following up to say: yo, there is some weeeird stuff happening.

2nd round took under 2 minutes, and it … Went too fast. Also, not everything got edited in the first pass.

My theory is, comments in private subs were locked and had pending changes queued. They didn’t actually get deleted and are becoming visible again as the subs open back up. Its possible as subs open up that the pending actions will be applied later, if they were not flushed.

Smells like a data integrity problem, either way.

I was mostly a lurker so I didn’t have that many comments overall. Using shreddit it took a minute or two.
