These centers are so scary to me–even the unlicensed, unregulated medical care being provided aside.

I fear that in many states with draconian abortion bans on the books, these centers are actually going to become primary sources of reporting young, scared pregnant women who don’t have anywhere to turn and can’t pony up the dough to travel a state or more away for the healthcare they need to end their pregnancies.

Once you go to one of these centers, you’re for sure in the system. What kind of notes are they taking here? Are they asking for emergency contact people on their forms? So like…they can call your mom if they don’t hear from you again? Are they noting who drove you…like, so that later they can be prosecuted or sued for “aiding and abetting” the “homicide” of an unborn baby? In some states the lack of regulatory oversight, enforcement of HIPAA/privacy regulation, etc, is really a glove-fit with the high invasive state probing into what pregnant women are doing with their bodies and the punitive measures included in the bills that have been passed into law.

What a world.
