Neither Remake parts have made it anywhere close to the popularity and fervor of the original FF7. I would love to be surprised by Remake part 3, but I’m not holding my breath…
The problem in my opinion was the series originally launched exclusively on the ps and then set a $70 price tag which I remember being one of the first games to do so. Then in addition decided to split the story into three games to milk it further.
I can understand why it may not have been as well received, especially from those like myself who want a complete experience from the start.
