Will join Prometheus and Covenant as films I won’t ever watch again.

Cliched characters (barely characters at all), but this time as very young adults which leads me to believe this was meant to be a soft reboot for teenagers and young adults which I’m guessing has failed because at the end of the day the film is boring.

The above would also explain why there are two (or maybe even three) heavy handed exposition scenes with our special return CGI character (of yet another dead actor) for said young folk who haven’t watched any of the previous films to help condense and synthesise the lore of the original films along with splicing in the lore the prequels.

Also helps explain why the film straight up steals scenes and one liners from all the previous films, basically stuffed full of memberberries.

Carries on the tradition (sin) of soft reboots, prequels and sequels of explaining things that don’t need explaining e.g:

    Tap for spoiler

Did we really need to know that Mother is actually mu/th/er?

If you enjoyed the film though that’s cool.

So I got back from watching Alien: Romulus in theaters. I found it interesting but also a bit odd near the end. What were your thoughts or feelings towards the movie?
