Many went to the Soviet Union too. They were probably less enthused, though.

“Go” isn’t the right word. I would say “am taken”.

Gotta catch 'em all (before the Soviets do)!

The Eastern front has this as well, Japanese unit 731 data is still being used by the scientific community today.

Much like the Nazi doctors from paperclip, they were able to re-enter society with basically no consequences.

Not just NASA, nazi scientists ended up working on bio and chemical weapons in America, and random odd jobs like MKUltra.

Not just scientists either, tons of nazi officers were sent to do nazi shit in South America

Many went to the Soviet Union too. They were probably less enthused, though.

The ones who were taken to the USSR were deported when they were finished with them, instead of put into positions of power and their images rehabilitated.

Privileges like, say, increased pay compared to Soviet technicians, or high positions in post-war society?

Maybe you should try reading the link, if it’s not too ‘politically incorrect’ for you to have to deal with historical facts.

what technicians? they got kicked out after they got what they wanted instead of being put in positions of power. this is what he said, and what your link said.

on top of it its implied they didnt exist in a vacuum either. since you seem to not discredit wikipedia, look at the list of germans who were brought to the us and notice how most of them lived long successful lives in there. why?

So you didn’t read shit. Unsurprising.

Despite this, the affected specialists and their families were doing well compared to citizens of the Soviet Union and the Soviet Zone, apart from the suffering of deportation and isolation. The specialists earned more than their Soviet counterparts. The scientists, technicians and skilled workers were assigned to individual projects and working groups, primarily in the areas of Aeronautics and rocket technology, nuclear research, Chemistry and Optics. The stay was given for about five years.

For strategic reasons, they also did not want to leave military research and development in the SBZ, especially since the Potsdam Agreement provided for the demilitarization of Germany.

After this period of intellectual quarantine had passed, the specialists returned to Germany between 1950 and 1958, with the majority of them until 1954.[5] Before leaving, they were taught to keep their years in the Soviet Union secret. Some specialists received chairs in GDR universities (e.g., Werner Albring, Waldemar Wolff), became an East German party official like Erich Apel.

“Please chill, it’s just a little apologia for genocidaires”

Did you not read the article?

You didn’t, apparently, or else you would have noticed how many of them were put in high positions in Warsaw Pact states. But that’s inconvenient for your fascist apologia, isn’t it?

Are you suggesting the USSR put them in positions of power in a different country?

The DDR’s use of nazi scientists is orthogonal to the USSR’s.

What the fuck are you talking about?

So you have no idea how the puppet states of the Warsaw Pact operated. Unsurprising.

What the fuck are you talking about?

Which genocidaires that you’re playing apologist for are you confused about? The Nazis, or the Soviets?

My boss in America was the son of a Paperclip guy. If you’re playing along at home, he’s the guy who also looks just like a mob guy they arrested a ways back (but wasn’t: not a wiseguy, just very wise and kind and funny).
