I heard that a remake or remaster was in the works for this one, I could have heard incorrectly though.
Sega is a making an open world sequel.

I forgot about that trailer showing the classic re-makes. Have to wait and see but I don’t have much hope left in Sega.
I’m definitely cautious with the news. And we’ll see if they include hideki naganuma. The game will live or die based on the soundtrack.
In the meantime bomb rush cyberpunk is awesome.
