I run my gear (Polyend Tracker, Korg Prologue and now the Syntakt) into my Soundcraft-12 mixer and then into a Scarlett 2i2 to my laptop. Does anyone use the FX send/return on their mixer for ‘master’ effects’ and if so, what do you use? I’ve been playing with a JHS Colour Box in that way but was curious to see what others do.

    I got some synths like you on a submixer and a reverb, vox amp send effect chain and towards the interface a compressor and enhancer as insert before recording.

    I plan on switching to a larger direct out mixer soon to have more seperate control when hardware only mode and sep channels when working daw centric.

    I go tape echo > multi fx pedal > reverb but not on a per channel / instrument basis, not as master fx. Depending on the track I use a tape machine for compression and saturation.
