Make no mistake my Northern neighbors. Your fascists have the same plans for you that ours have for us. Never doubt it.

We know. One of our conservative MP’s even ran around with a MAGA hat at one point.

          Of personality

That’s a comforting but flawed reading.

Trump is the figurehead, but the nascent movement was growing long before he showed up. It will continue long after him.

The personality is not required. In fact, the personality is largely a fiction that the cult created. Listen to the way they talk about Trump and it basically has nothing to do with who Trump actually is. It barely aligns with how Trump describes himself. That’s why it can export so successfully; all it needs is a figurehead. It can be anyone.

When Trump is gone, we will not be free from this. Not even a little.

            You’re right.

Besides, following the elections process, their whole process is based on a cult of personality. Not just Trump, but every candidate. Kamala, her VP candidate, etc. You see them in these big conventions with huge crowds of people holding up signs and spokespeople cheering them on. It’s like they’re celebrities. It’s fucking wild. You don’t see this in any other country. (Thankfully)

It’s honestly scary. Politicians shouldn’t get this kind of celebrity status. Politics should be something that regular people can get involved in to improve society through collaboration. Not something reserved for nepo babies who rise to fame because of their name or heritage. It should be something accessible to the average Joe.

Ya unfortunately I went the same school as her and it’s my area (Portage-lisgar) that kept voting her in for some reason, despite her having the IQ of a wet sock.

This is a global issue. All of us are under direct attack. The problem is most people won’t even notice until it’s too late. And bringing it to attention makes them turn on you.

The UK conservatives have spent a decade trying to kill the NHS. Unfortunately for them, many of the staff of the NHS have other ideas!

America needs to deal with their for profit health care cancer. It keeps trying to spread.

saying competition and fear are incentives to improve service

Fear? Seriously? A public health care service that’s been under-funded by design will “improve service” out of fear? These politicians have no morals.

With enough money, you can decide what’s allowed in a whole industry! Who needs the government to pass laws when you can pass policy instead!
