Re-post from my reddit account - but one of my favorite flashlight photos I’ve taken.

Purple Convoy S2+ with:

  • Nichia 365nm LED Emitter
  • Main Body in purple
  • Lighted Switch in orange
  • UV filter
  • 21x1.5mm green O rings

Took macro photos of each part laid out on white A4 paper, then used Paint.net to remove the background.

Thanks! It’s a ton of fun to play around with - but I wish I would have taken the advise of “Do not bring into the bathroom”

I mainly use it now for searching for Uranium glass at antique stores and occasionally on night walks just to see if anything fluoresces.

I did also learn that the ‘juice’(?) in weed vape pens fluoresces which is odd.

That’s a sweet photo! I wish I had something like it as a poster in my house!

Oh, that would be cool, hadn’t thought about doing poster of it…

I’d really like take another stab at this type of photo but with the D2 - however I’m nervous to take that one apart after Hank’s warning.

I think you’ll be able to get the D2 apart ;)

        Now reassembling it…
