It gives the guys on Lemmy far to much credit to compare these regimes to them. This is pure geopolitics, probably no solidarity has to be involved.

Venezuela should not be concerning itself with military hardware given the state of their economy. Their government should be busy finding a quiet corner to die in so people with some competence can lead.
