I have been reading mainly the space epic type of sci-fi comics and books like Dune, Asimov and Moebius. I have always liked cyberpunk too but never really went further into it. Now after reading Neuromancer a while ago I would like dive deeper into the genre. I´m asking myself if there are books or comics that combine the amazing cyberpunk aesthetics of Neuromancer with a deeper writing style of an author who does a bit more research before writing a book. I enjoyed reading Neuromancer, it was very entertaining because of the unique aesthetic that Gibson came up with but it was also a bit shallow in some areas. For a book that has the matrix as a center theme Gibson does not seem to know particularly much about the internet and computers, the complex psychological and medical problems that come with cyberware are pretty much ignored throughout the book and the rasta character they meet in orbit is written in a way that suggests Gibson never actually talked to a rasta before writing that part.

So I guess I´m looking to find the Frank Herbert of cyberpunk but in the first place I´m interested in everyone here telling what cyberpunk you like the most and why!

I second Snow Crash. Has the same frenetic pace and ambiance as Neuromancer but a bit more accessible

Snow Crash for me. It was the first cyberpunk book I read.
