How things are going with Lemmy in general?
- The software is pretty promising.
- The network of Lemmy instances is expanding rapidly.
- The userbase is exploding even more rapidly.
- The number of Lemmy mobile clients is up to 3, that I know of. (Jerboa, Mlem, Memmy)
The quirks of navigation takes some getting used to, and I kinda like the UX of Kbin better, but I find more engagement happening from the Lemmy side of things, so I guess I’m sticking here.
There doesn’t seem to be a way to migrate instances easily (yet?) like with Mastodon. Not sure if that’s important, but worth noting.
There are some bugs, and there isnt as much content as reddit.
But its pretty cool! Im kinda glad theres less users, so much less toxicity!
Is Memmy for android or iOS?
Guess I should’ve been more specific about which apps were on which platforms. 😄
- [iOS] Memmy - https://testflight.apple.com/join/6jaRU6rD
- [iOS] Mlem - https://testflight.apple.com/join/xQfmkJhc
- [Android] Jerboa - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jerboa
Ah too bad, I was hoping for another android app since some pages on Jerboa are a bit buggy. Thanks though ^^
I’m sure another one will show up soon, given the explosion in users of the past few days.
Oh definitely :D
I’m even considering trying to modify the Infinity for reddit app myself. Though I’ll have to get more into android app development for that first.
There’s definitely some growing pains but I’m excited for the potential
