People with ties to Giorgia Meloni’s government who resigned because of racist and fascist remarks: countless. Paolo Signorelli (spokesman for the minister of agriculture Francesco Lollobrigida, resigned), Elisa Segnini and Flaminia Pace (higher-ups of Gioventù Nazionale, the party’s young wing, both resigned), are just the most recent names that I remember of.

This is also the same government that scrapped the crime of abuse of office, which was designed to fight corruption in a country with a very high level of corruption (their reasoning was that politicians would not be effective at doing their job if they feared repercussions, which is… Nuts).

And let’s not forget the fact that this government has further worsened freedom of press in the country.
