I just wanted to share that tonight your faithful mod aka me will get to go to Bracken Cave and see millions of bats fly out of it for their nightly hunt. I am so excited and wanted to share the joy. I doubt I will get any decent pics because I will be enjoying the show, but here is a picture from their Instagram.

My wife looked into getting tickets and they were sold out for months. How long did you wait?
We got ours sometime at the end of June. I had no idea it was such a popular location, so we just lucked out.

Roughly 10 million of them come to the cave to roost, then each one has a baby, doubling the number. It is indeed a lot of bats!

How do they find room for that many bats?! The most I’ve ever seen at one time is what, maybe about 6 bats? Tops?
