I think the curators did an excellent job of presenting the history of the prison while also providing a sobering look into how we handle crime and punishment in the US once the tour begins to conclude. The state of the prison makes it such an eerie place to be, especially on the chilly, foggy December night we ended up there.

Independence Hall was pretty cool, but this really was just a cut above.

We’ll probably end up going back again one day. I really adored this city. Especially for it being actually chilly in winter. It was 70 degrees in Oklahoma when we flew out!

Anyway, have this pic of the prison I took that’s still my wallpaper. I like the spookiness of it.

    I used to live nearby. I took a tour and enjoyed it. Was it al capones escape hole? Who’s ever it was, I vividly remember that…and the bit about doing penance and not letting inmates talk.
