There’s a book called “Road to Unfreedom: Russia, Europe, America” by historian Timothy Snyder. It talks about putin’s Russia, how it become what it is now, the conflict in Ukraine. It was published in 2018 so didn’t have latest full scale invasion, but it was clear that 2014 invasion of Crimea wasn’t the final goal. It also talks about Trump how Russia saved him from being bankrupted nobody.
Highly recommend it. It shows how many seemingly unrelated events that happened in past 2 and half decades were connected together.
Trump’s refusal to say that he supports Ukraine is not a bit surprising and maybe MAGA also makes it harder, but even without it he still wouldn’t support it.
