I can’t be the only one that has been shooting them in the big red stupid bellies this whole time.
So I was going for headshots for a while, but then I took one out with a single wild hipfire AMR shot to the stomach. I thought “aha! That must be the weak spot!” and I’ve been going for it ever since.
I know right? It’s always been the easiest way to stop them.

I noticed a red hit when I shot the belly and I wondered if I’d been shooting it wrong the entire time. I normally go for the eyes

From the patch notes video, I think they mean underneath the charger, like its stomach. Not the butt.
Nah, this was relating to the Beserkers, which are the bots with chainsaw arms. They have a big red glowing stomach, so I had always assumed it was a weak point.
They did weaken the Charger stomachs too though. Which will be nice if you find yourself in a point to shoot them.
