Another streaming service, another easy pass.

I am happy with doing my own emulation on my own local machine, I dont need to pay a subscription fee to access games I already own via a subpar experience.

“Antstream Arcade is now available on the Xbox Store for $29.99, which will entitle you to one year’s access to the service. You can also pay $79.99 up front for a lifetime pass. If you want to test it out first, there’s a free tier available on the web.”

This is completely anti-consumer. A few months ago Microsoft removed free applications similar (and better) than this from their store, only to then turn around and release a paid option because they want more of your money. I wish the developers of these applications had the financial backing required to pursue legal action to a result similar to the Apple v Epic Games lawsuit.

Wow, that’s awful. Didn’t know that.

80 bucks for a life time pass is pretty fair imo, but why tf are we streaming these games? I highly doubt the entire library offered takes more then 10 gb.

Streaming? Odd. And it’s all emulation, which I’m sure with some games, will suffer from input lag, sound issues, and so on.

It’s especially stupid when services like WebRCade and Afterplay exist. They offer the same “pick up from anywhere” ease of use, but you’re actually running your games locally.
