Why do I feel like in a few years we will be watching a youtube video from the likes of “Climate Town” explaining how all the AI and tech giants were awarded these subsidies and used them to fuck up the world even more? It just seems like there is no way to win and the governing bodies can’t keep the money flowing towards where it is needed and away from the pockets of CEOs.
In this case, I think it’s mostly going to oil companies who pump CO2 into the ground to force out more oil
