    Like I’ve been saying since several red lines ages ago. Don’t threaten nuclear retaliation if you can’t back it up. Countries with working nukes don’t need to threaten other countries with them, because it’s pretty well known who has them.

    On the one hand, this is embarrassing for Russia, but on the other hand the UK’s Trident nuclear deterrent failed a couple of times in a row over the last few years, so I’m not going to get too excited about it.

    For those suggesting that this makes them less of a threat, all you need is one missile to make it all the way to ruin pretty much everyone’s day. Also, have a number of live payloads do a failure on launch, they don’t make it to the target, but whoever is downwind…again, day ruined.
