Which is ironic because the right is the one perpetuating identity politics.

It’s not really ironic that the right uses identity politics, and therefore the rich right leaning newspaper owners use identity politics to make the left look like people only support them because they identify as Democrats.

False. One side wants equal rights and access to services for people and one literally does not want that and in fact wants to prevent it. One side understands there are systemic problems that prevent certain folks from attaining or achieving certain things. One side thinks most of the population is just too lazy to get what they want.

You are amazing at generalizing half your population and nothing more.

I am absolutely against Trump being president lol.

I think for myself instead of thinking how I’m told, but you wouldn’t understand that.

I believe it if they say that’s how it’s more often used, but the left by no means has a monopoly on identity politics.

I mean, it’s not the side I see walking around wearing matching hats.

I mean you could read the title.

Study: To US Papers, ‘Identity Politics’ Is Mostly a Way to Sneer at the Left

It says nothing about how only the left uses identity politics…

I’m agreeing with the article, using an example to reiterate the article’s central message that there’s a discrepancy between how the term is usually directed vs reality.
