Creating Music with ProTracker?

Anyone able to point me to some good resources on creating music with ProTracker? I haven’t really found much as far as not having any prior music knowledge, and using that particular Amiga program.

Personally I use OpenMPT and have been since I was a kid. It’s an open source tracker that is surprisingly powerful if you can get it to do what you want. It’s similar to trackers like ProTracker from the old school days but more modernized and easier to use (mostly). It’s not the easiest software to use but it’s what I’m used to. But if you are set on ProTracker you might be able to look up stuff about OpenMPT (or any tracker for that matter) and some of the information might translate over. I know this might not be helpful, but I hope it helps with a starting point at least.

I don’t think I’ve tried OpenMPT, how does it compare to MilkyTracker?

Very similar when it comes to the core principles behind it. The UI is very different, but it can essentially do all the same things and even shares some file formats for projects.

…already chuckling at the jaw drop of seeing a row of speed multiplier changes that produces a murderously funky shuffle groove 😁
