His wife had a stroke years ago and her physical abilities and mind had started to go before that. She’s needed to be on Medicare/Medicaid for a long time now. I hope she doesn’t lose access.

This is not news, Texas is a failed state, nobody is running a headline “innocents killed by warlords in Somalia”.
One thing “Texans” seem to never understand: It’s not your state, they let you live there because they needed you to run their ranches and pump their oil, but the state belongs to the rural rich and always will.
Texas has been Republican controlled for 28 years. If they were capable of doing better, or differently, they would (might).

The word sub is not inherent to subreddits or Reddit. Why do people keep spouting this bullshit. Sub means under/secondary/part of. So it’s not weird, illogical, or even vague to refer to communities, especially since people can tie it back to, yes, Reddit. You’re just an old fart, dogmatist. iTs A cOmMuNiTy.
