We did the math, and the details of Disney+'s paid sharing rollout are far less attractive than similar terms posed by Netflix.

    It’s ridiculous and the worst part is that they’ll probably get away with it too, same as Netflix. My family consists of 3 households sharing the same account, with these changes that would mean €6 a month extra on the first account + having to create a second account which will also be like €10 a month or something.

    Like it was with Netflix, the password sharing crackdown is a necessary evil. The former wild west left potentially billions of dollars and millions of subscriptions on the table. Netflix added roughly six million subscribers in the first quarter following the program’s rollout. The options are also (slowly) pushing more users to the ad-supported plan, which generates more average revenue/member (ARM).

    Ugh 🤮 I was hoping people would be more defiant than this.
