Does anyone have specific recommendations for a light to use as a lantern?

I have a good headlamp for hiking/camping/etc, but I’d like a little flashlight to use as a backup/as a stationary lantern around camp. I’ve never used a diffuser on a flashlight, so I’m not sure if they are all created equal, or if some are better than others. Momentary brightness isn’t that important to me, but decent efficiency, a red light, and light weight are important. Bonus points for using 18650 since that would make it compatible with my headlamp.

@evasive_chimpanzee I like silicone diffusers better than plastic ones.

Adding red to the flashlight limits options. The Skilhunt EC200S offers a red secondary, but it has a very floody beam, which doesn’t add as much versatility to the overall setup as something more focused.

    Added L16 v2
    Updated MiX-7
    Removed Convoy Z1
    Pending Wurkkos TS10 Max

Thanks for the list! I bought one from an affiliate link!

Not that it matters but I think you filed the post under October 26th instead of September 26th

Cannot recommend Skilhunt. They shipped me a flashlight that won’t charge and refused to make it right. I had to purchase a 3rd party charger. The light also sometimes turns itself on in my pocket. Other than that it works fine, but their customer service is shit.

        The IF24 Pro definitely.

I don’t really care for the blocky look of the chassis, but the sidelight looks to have some neat functionality. I’d like it if it was a little more utilitarian in it’s operation instead of more geared towards what I would say is like a party light or something (I don’t think I have a need for the full RGB cycling).

Also, the selector wheel on the switch seems intuitive.
