I’m glad people are speaking up against Starmer turning Labour into the New Conservatives.
Lol, Rosie usually flanking from the right. A transphobe and not a nice person. Love it when they trash take themselves out. One of the few Labour MPs worse than Kier
Thanks for providing some context about her. I don’t know her or her history. Seems @[email protected] was standing on the right side of yet another issue.
It’s kinda funny I had all these people telling me it will be better under kier
I know they can’t turn ut around this quickly but based on what I have seen from him hrs not even in the same room as the steering wheel.
Oversteer Kier. I suspect he’s more right wing than Blair, but we’ll have to see. Definitely more of am autocrat.
In her resignation letter, published by the Sunday Times, external, the Canterbury MP lambasts the prime minister for accepting gifts worth tens of thousands of pounds while scrapping the winter fuel payment and keeping the two-child benefit cap.
Very funny thing for someone who accepted a £10k private donation and didn’t vote on the winter fuel payment to say. Shouldn’t expect moral consistency from a transphobe.
I don’t think you’ve read this. They are donations directly to a campaign fund. Are you drawing equivalence to accepting clothes for a spouse or a holiday in New York ?
For the winter fuel payment, abstention or having the whip removed, as is nearly always case in British parliamentary politics .
I did read it, I just think it demonstrates the same problem as Stramer’s freebies, rich people pushing money around in policies to buy influence.
she just have wanted to spend more time at home denying the holocaust
Do you have any source for this? From what I read of her, it seems she’s criticized Labour for what she perceives as antisemitism. (Edit: She’s also very transphobic though, apparently; that sucks, but it still has nothing to do with Holocaust denial. Edit 2: okay yes it does. What the fuck.)
it was pretty much linked with transphobia when she was agreeing with someone who said trans people weren’t targetted in the holocaust

Ah, yup, that’ll do it.
What the fuck, Rosie.
Jewish people were targeted in the Holocaust. The Nazis didn’t care about anything else.
You have to understand that not everything is about you.
Jewish people were targeted in the Holocaust. The Nazis didn’t care about anything else.
I mean, they did target other people.
Not seeing trans in there. Funny that.
What the fuck is wrong with you?
Not well read are you
Katy is one of those hardcore trans activists who think that literally everyone wants them dead.
My experience of Katy is an incredibly intelligent and balanced person. I can’t speak to their history of antisemitism or trans activism one way or another though.
So I’m not understanding specifically what she said that’s problematic in relation to the Holocaust? Did she say that trans people were killed during the Holocaust? Because that was a real, actual, systematic component of the Holocaust; saying that would be the opposite of denial. Also, hardcore in what way? What’s wrong with being pro-human rights in a “hardcore” way, however you’re defining that? And where did she say everyone wants trans people dead? And again what does that have to do with the Holocaust?Wait, I read this as Rosie. Who’s Katy?
What Katy is saying is that she thinks Duffield’s views on women’s rights and trans issues is equivalent to the Holocaust.
Perfectly sane person.
Wait, who’s Katy in this scenario? I read this as “Rosie” initially, because I couldn’t think of anyone named Katy related to this and so my brain autocorrected.
Katy is the person whose comment you replied to.
We welcome robust debate here but let’s not make it personal - play the ball, not the player.
Sayonara, transphobe
Hate her, but can’t disagree that the two-child benefit cap is fucking awful for families that need the help. Those kids don’t deserve to be punished for being born. Something, something, broken clock.
Note: I do not have or want children, I just have empathy for them because I grew up in poverty myself. I still think she’s vile.
