Non-football related, but I have now seen the northern lights :)
Was only slightly visible unless using a camera. We’ll be in far Northern Norway in the middle of winter, so I wonder how different it will be
Oooooo, jealous! Some people out by me reported being able to see it but I guess there’s too much light pollution near me :(
If was faint enough that, if I didn’t know any better, I’d have thought it was thin clouds. Fascinatingly, the camera picks up most of it. Could that have been the case?
It’s possible - we got discouraged pretty quickly. Perhaps if we’d walked a few blocks we would have had more luck.
I’ve seen it in Iceland and it’s wonderful. Pretty sure Norway you would get a magnificent show.
I’m so jealous of the pictures my friends got tonight though, I missed one of the windows with my good camera, and my phone camera captures great shots of the stars but not the lights.
My expectations are high!
We almost missed it except that a friend of my partner, who doesn’t live too far away, sent a photo. So, we hopped out of bed and went for a short walk
