After applying each layer of tape to your pcb go ahead and throw the whole unit in a vacuum seal bag for MAXIMUM tape to board contact!
Will it make any noticeable difference? Probably not. Does it look awesome? Uh-huh! Does it scratch your itch of needing to feel different and sightly superior than the masses? Abso-fricken-lutely.
Do you then plunge it into a waterbath with an immersion circulator so you get to within 0.1 degree of ideal tape adherence temperature?
And be sure to add some woody herbs for a warm, welcoming feeling
Don’t give me any ideas, I have an immersion circulator and this is exactly the stupid kind of shit that gets me in trouble with the wife.
Although now that you mention it, if I could figure out a good tempurature to increase the elasticity of the tape I could get a better seal around the chips and… yeah prolly better not.
