Last time I checked the thread had 2 upvotes and 6 downvotes. Shows you how insane this entire network is.
Edit: Apologies for the wrong thread link, containing the album of the original thread in the other community. Originally I had this thread here organized differently and the original album was linked in the body for context, but it got eaten by spam protection. Same happened to this one, but I only noticed the mistake after since I’m still tired, and then it got manually approved.
I have to say, Insanepeoplefacebook doesn’t really seem like the right place for the discussion, “Is it the Palestinians who kill Israelis who are the good guys, or is it the other way around?”
I don’t think it is necessarily the lack of terrorist simping that is involved, just the celebration of a killer whichever side he is on that is the issue.
Why are you equating the Palestinians with Hamas?
That sub is pretty much only about making fun of sovereign citizens

Oh hey, a GQP shill account! You guys don’t wanna bother with Lemmy, it’s too small for your operations to have enough impact. Go back to reddit, the numbers make more sense 👍
I mean, not really. Every little bit helps for them. Especially since this place is filled mostly with real people, which makes it worth while if you can influence even a small percentage. The big benefit to Lemmy though is that instance admins are less disconnected than Reddit’s admins, and also more likely to ban those attempting to influence politics in bad-faith. Obviously not in all servers but they are in the more reputable servers.
Shit Americans Say. But thanks for proving my point.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but, uh, isn’t that… well, not a Facebook post?
There’s plenty of non facebook posts there.
Edit: Not sure what the downvote is for. Could you perhaps post the original post and its content? Can’t view it through the modlogs.
See my edit. The original content of the very first post is the linked album of the thread. The mod log and a screencap of the removal are in the body, along with a link to the original removed thread. I accidentally posted the album as this thread here since I was tired. Apologies for the confusion.
There’s a few regulars on here that legitimately don’t seem to be mentally well, and this dude is one of them.
I honestly have no idea what their beef is, it seems like Bones deleted a post that had nothing whatsoever to do with Facebook from insanepeopfacebook?
Half their links don’t work either.
There’s literally countless of posts not from facebook on that community.
A lot of the .world mods are really invested in catering to the far-right in an effort to appear “moderate”.
No idea where you got that notion from. When it comes to Palestine & Israel the far left and far right are pretty united in their hatred for Israel and their ironic support of Islamist terrorists, but I don’t think the guy is far-right since he constantly posts sovereign citizen screenshots.
They definitely do allow the left to voice their opinions and some of the mods are more left, I can’t speak for all of them as some of them are not as active in commenting as others.
Taking [email protected] as an example, I’ve noticed a concerning trend where far right posters are allowed to post blatant misinformation with little to no evidence to back it up.
Take this post for example. This one is an interesting example because any call outs even hinting with bias against the user who made the post is suspiciously removed almost immediately. Take a look at the top level comment that was removed and see what it actually says:
Since when is calling out lies, and with a source that is, eligible to be removed? Debated on, sure. But removed?
This isn’t an isolated example based on what I’ve seen in that community.
EDIT: Another example of a removed comment concerning this user.:
I don’t see any far right agenda here and the post & comment in question lacks context. I blocked all the news subs specifically because they’ve protected far left Tankie disinformation.
The post in itself was a propaganda piece by the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) claiming their enemy is hiding their money stashes underneath a hospital. The supposed “evidence” was a CGI rendering of tunnels underneath the hospitals. It’s worth noting that since this was in Lebanon independent journalists were able to quickly go to the hospital and confirm it was false, as they have with so many of the IDF’s claims. The IDF has a documented history of propagating misinformation in an effort to justify their horrendous war crimes. They also have a documented history of imprisoning and killing journalists in an effort to silence them. One might as well be peddling propaganda pieces by North Korea on South Korean supposed human rights violations and presenting it as factual. This all is in blatant violation of the communities rule 3: “Opinions articles, or Articles based on misinformation/propaganda may be removed.”
The cherry on top is stuff like the screenshots I posted where any call outs are removed just because.
Whether true or not (I’m really not in the mood to read myself into it because of the tribalistic nature of the whole topic and its people on either side), I still don’t see how that makes it far right propaganda / the protection of it? Nazis are inherently anti Israel (for hopefully obvious reasons), not pro Israel, and have been showing in this conflict to piggyback the pro Palestine stance to hurt Israel further.
Far right doesn’t automatically mean Nazis, not sure why you brought them up. And a voice against Israel’s actions is not a voice endorsing Nazis.
The hospital example above is important since Israel has repeatedly bombed hospitals, in direct violation of humanitarian law, citing evidence that has been debunked. There are no hospitals left in Gaza currently because of this.
