Greenland is the most obvious (to my eye) case of the distortion that Mercator projection causes at near-polar latitudes.
I’m not anywhere near as confident that I could say what shape Denmark is at the best of times.

There’s nothing really exciting about having visited lots of countries anymore. Just means you have a couple grand to burn each year on flights, and don’t care about the climate.i cant even dream about having that much money to fly around and get hotels and stuff all over the planet
There’s plenty of ways to visit countries that won’t involve flying. Some of those quite CO2 neutral.
