In Italian it’s written nuraghi (in the plural) so I’d argue it’s all the other places that are wrong.

What’s the point of building roofs against rain, when there is already a roof overhead?
A covered space is easier to keep warm. Also the crater hole might well have let in rain that could be blown around by wind.
