Wanted to see more photos of a place that I want to try, but cannot view more than literally one single photo without downloading an entire app that will take up a huge amount of space and lots of my data

I haven’t used Yelp in years but the last time I did, the mobile version of the site was completely non-functional, doing the same thing, forcing the app. Switching to “Desktop Mode” worked though.

Yelp can’t be trusted, anyway. Businesses can pay to remove bad reviews.

Google Maps has plenty of user submitted photos.

Yelp hasn’t been a reliable or trusted site since it began.

Why I throw my phone browser into desktop mode. Can be annoying but it works most the time

This shit is why I resist proprietary apps like this as much as I can. Removing functionality from the website and hiding it behind an app is so shitty and I’m not playing along just so they can sell off the info they get from it.

Yelp sucks. It’s outlived its usefulness.

Yelp is the “pay to win” of businesses. I wouldn’t trust it at all.

You’re using Yelp, your first mistake.

I refuse to download TikTok, but I would occasionally watch a post my friends would send me on the website. Now they force you to download the app, as far as I can tell.
