This is Jager, a GSD/Pomeranian mix, and Loki, Border Collie, Aussie, Pit Bull Mix. My best buds.
And this is Baxter, unfortunately I lost him last Christmas. Was visiting my sister and someone didn’t close off the doggy door while I was with my sis in the hospital and he wandered off and got hit by a car. Had him longer than any dog in my life and he was there for me through all the worst times. Miss him dearly. He lived a good life though and made 15 years. RIP little buddy.

My mom was in the hospital over Thanksgiving, and I cannot fathom the devastation I would have felt if I had come home from all the stress and difficulty there and discovered my beloved little buddy was gone; to say my heart breaks for you sounds hyperbolic, but I’ve got tears in my eyes typing this. I am so sorry.
Thank you for that. It was very bittersweet. My sister had a baby and the next day Baxter passed. And it was 2 days after Xmas. Just all kinds of emotions.
