Hey lemmy people,

I recently got a s24+ and I’m looking for a 45w charger brick to get the full speed. Seems like that not every brick charges the phone at 45w. So can I you help me? Thanks!

Ps: I don’t want the official Samsung one :))

You need a charger that supports PD and PPS charging at 45w or higher. Check if the charger supports that spec and you should be fine.

Samsung, right? If my memory is right, they conform to the Quick Charge standard? So you’ll want a charger that supports QC at 45w.

Though it seems most chargers support both QC and Power Delivery these days.

It then comes down to the voltage/current pairs a charger will support (but I think this only applies in QC, not PD?)

Uggh, yea, this is why finding the right charger is such a challenge! Too damn much stuff to remember!

I’ve always gone with Anker chargers and cables and they’ve always seen me right.

Saying that thou and even thou my current phone comes with a 90w charger in the box, I simply use my 20w Anker charger since fast charging isn’t exactly good for the health of your battery and if I can, I leave it on a trickle charge at home.

Well, 45w is not that much but, 8 can also disable fast charging from settings

I use Samsung’s T4510 charger and cable combo. For third party chargers I believe they need to be PD PPS3.0 and the cable needs to be 5A.
