Summary

Sen. Elizabeth Warren accused President-elect Donald Trump and his transition team of violating the Presidential Transition Act by failing to prevent conflicts of interest and sign an ethics agreement, a law Warren helped author.

Her comments follow a CNN report suggesting that Trump’s team has withheld necessary transition agreements from the Biden administration due to conflict-of-interest concerns.

Rep. Jamie Raskin also criticized Trump’s refusal to engage in standard transition protocols, warning it could disrupt the peaceful transfer of power. Trump’s actions break a precedent set by presidential candidates since 2010.

Then fucking DO something about it. Every breath the man takes, he’s breaking a new law, but nobody ever does anything about it. They just keep letting him get away with every fucking thing he does, and it’s emotionally exhausting hearing about Trump’s Crime Of The Day every single day and never seeing any consequences.

The Dems are really losing my support lately. The inability with the party to take any sort of meaningful action has given Trump the presidency twice now, and is driving me fucking insane. Put the cunt behind bars already.

This is how it was last time it is going to get worse. The crimes will become so constant to the point where you just tune out. We are now in an abusive relationship we can’t get out of.

This is the best “metaphor” I could come up with as well. The voters are abuser enablers who trapped us in a house with our abuser. They don’t see his abuse because they tune it out and don’t pay attention. If you raise the abuse to them, their response is, “Stop being so dramatic, he’s good for you.”

But the thing is, the fact that he’s actually a real narcissistic sociopath who feeds on our attention is not just apt for the metaphor - there is actually no metaphor. He’s simply, actually in an abusive, non-consensual relationship with half the country. And his voters are simply, actually delusional enablers.

Because most of the people in power actually want Trump to push things too far. That way when he leaves, they can push things almost that far and look like a good guy. Remember, the Democratic party is conservative centrist, not leftist. There are very few left centrists like Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren in office and no one is truly very far left at all. But compared to Trump, they appear to be extremely leftist.

Buckle up! It’s going to be article after article after article of “Trump violated XYZ law!”

Hope you’re happy Merrick Garland, you proved that Trump is above the law. At least history will say you weren’t partisan, because your image is the only thing that matters in life right? Not that Fox or any right wing propagandist will agree. You’re still a Democrat appointed witch hunter to them.

I think we might actually need to implement some sort of grading system for his infractions lest we get desensitized to the steady stream

Edit: I suddenly realize I’m not ready for even hearing “testing legal precedent” for the next 4 years let alone all the other shit going on

Bless your heart, Elizabeth. You think you still have a say in Trump’s America. You’re both a Democrat and a woman.

Did we learn nothing from the last Trump presidency? Precedent means nothing if it’s not a law. Dems fucked everybody over by playing a gentleman’s game with a scumbag.

We should not point out a single infraction until that broken law is enough to actually spark a national uproar for impeachment. Otherwise we boil the public frog.

Good news, frog legs are delicious. But yeh. We’re fucked. I know it. But getting super pissy about every norm and small infraction is just a way to exhaust the public.

Well since we’re going off topic, the only time I ever had frog’s legs, I didn’t care for them. Way too much bone to meat ratio and the meat was meh.

Just like with bad food it’s only every worth complaining about when you can affect the general business… Not the server helping you.

Man, the Rpeublicans are gonna have to use the impeachment process to control Trump. Too bad they won’t.
