'The school is mulling a potential move to the Big 12, according to sources, and Wednesday’s meeting represents a potential step in the process for university officials to approve a move there, according to sources. Colorado has discussed athletics in a private session multiple times in recent months, but sources indicate the tenor of this meeting is different."

Mizzou, Nebraska, hop in we’re getting the band back together. OU we’ll forget you ever tried to leave

I miss hating NU tbh, as an ISU fan. Never really cared about MU tbh, I’d keep WVU over them for sure.

If I’m a PAC team’s fan, I’m mostly worried about what this says about the media deal details. As a B12 team’s fan, it’d nice to be on the other side of a P5 poach.

As an OkSt fan, I’m hoping this pulls the 2 AZ teams along with CO… Utah would be nice too, to be with byu

I’m sure Wash and Oregon will be jumping to the b10 as soon as a spot opens up anyways. So, it would be in the interest of those 4 getting a spot elsewhere sooner, rather than later. IMHO ofc.

It doesn’t make sense geographically or monetarily, but Wazzu and Oregon State would make great cultural fits in the Big 12

I think they’re at least slightly underrated monetarily, Wazzu in particular is sending alums back to the same Seattle metro as UW, and geography is right out at this point, but I do think that the 4-corner schools are more like “California light” for viewership, etc., and I also don’t think either of WSU/OSU will let go of their in-state rival until there’s no choice.

Yeah, I’d prefer Utah to UConn, but if the Utes are ride-or-die with their nerdy best friends in California, then the basketball play is a lot more palatable when it’s just one of four.

I don’t see the B12 going bigger than The SEC or B1G unless Oregon and/or Washington want to ride out a media deal in the B12 before they join USCLA. I have to think Yormark is salivating over the thought of dining on ACC teams, even if the Super-2 get first pick.

As a PAC team fan, I watched the Big Ten and Big XII media deal rumors and how quickly and precisely and positively they came, and spent the last year seeing just the opposite for us; no solid details, no real positive news or leaks at all. It never felt like there was ever any substance being floated out there for us, and for me personally it’s felt like Kliavkoff has done nothing but string everybody along.

And maybe it’s his job to do anything to keep the member schools together, and maybe vaguery and delay were his only weapons, and maybe he’s been holding out and hoping for something agreeable to eventually materialize, but it sure has been a long year+ on this nothing-burger he’s been trying to sell us on. I suspect Colorado leaving will deliver a big blow to that plan, if that’s all he’s been up to.

Sounds like a pretty sure thing at this point, and I’m hearing rumors that a non-four corners “surprise” wants to comes with. No idea if it’s legit but this could get interesting.

I really just want to know the details of the PAC 12 media deal.

Well then I want to know the numbers proposed. I’m guessing numbers have been floated to CU.
